The Homsi Family
The Homsi family emigrated from Aleppo, Syria in 1987 with the hopes of providing their children with an opportunity to grow and succeed. With agreat deal of courage and determination, their five sons realized their dream– to complete their college education and together, own a successful business. Through their ambitious drive, enthusiasm, attention to quality and detail, the Homsi brothers achieved their goal and opened Mediterranea.
Founded in 2007, Mediterranea’s five brothersworked meticulously to bring a fresh concept to Montclair, NJ. This ostentatious eatery offers a wide array of specialty dishes from Syria, Lebanon, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Morocco, and Spain. Dishes enjoyed for generations in villages throughout Mediterranean Sea inspire our menu, giving “Mediterranea of Montclair” its authentic Mediterranean flare.
We believe in serving tasty, healthy and natural meals to all our customers in a casual and affordable environment. We continue to innovate and create recipes beyond our traditional style by adding new menu items inspired by home cooking.
